March 2002 onwards – Retrowarez.com – Head of eCommerce and Operations for home entertainment eCommerce retail company responsible for the formation and subsequent running of eCommerce company Retrowarez.com
Commercial achievements:
- Project management and roll-out of a home entertainment e-commerce retail site, from investment of £10000 and a stock level of only 7 units to a peak turnover of just under £6,000,000 in under 2 years.
- Peak sales figures of circa 25000 units per week, maintaining profit margins at 20% to 25%
- Established direct trading relationships with manufacturers to source stock at distribution level, cutting out the wholesale “middle man” achieving a significant increase in profit margins.
- Created multiple channels for sale of stock via company website and third party marketplaces as well as wholesale transactions to other retailers.
- Identified opportunities to achieve higher than usual profit margins, such as sourcing out of print DVD titles to sell at higher margins.
- Optimised sales, marketing performance and retention through SEO, PPC campaigns and marketing based on results from website analytics packages such as Omniture and Google Analytics to achieve a significant return on marketing investment.
- Achieved a page ranking of 6 on Google largely through organic placement.

- Maintained and drove all promotional marketing campaigns and ensured their financial feasibility over time to ensure adequate return on investment.
- Managed the entire logistical process from purchase of product to despatch of product and related customer service at each stage.
