Ethical Companies – The Blog

I am an eCommerce Professional specialising in eCommerce startups and their subsequent management and operations. I am also a former project manager for one of the UK’s leading management consultancy firms. I am currently available for freelance contract eCommerce consultancy and project management and I am also actively seeking a new challenge as a permanent role, preferably in the South of England, although I wouldn’t be adverse to moving abroad for the right opportunity !

Random facts about me in no particular order:

• I have an academic background in the social sciences, primarily psychology and systems thinking.
• Eddie Izzard is my favourite stand up comedian.
• I can program in 6502 and 6510 machine code (not much use these days).
• I have 2 cats, and once advertised one of them for sale for £1,000,000 on my website at the time to demonstrate that the site was “flexible” enough to be able to list and sell anything.
• I also have a chocolate labrador called Mollie, and she’s completely loopy.
• One of my best friends is a well known actress in a leading soap opera.
• I used to be a chef, and worked in one of London’s most famous restaurants.
• As Managing Director of Retrowarez.com I sold (with the aid of my staff of course) over 2,000,000 DVDs in 7 years plus a lot of games, CDs, books etc….
• I share my name with a former Southampton footballer and an American wrestler (Steve Williams).
• I actually understand postmodernism.
• I adore curry, and would recommend Lal Haweli in Rusholme to anyone looking for a damn good Lamb Jalfrezi.
• I live in North Staffordshire, right on the border with South Cheshire.
